Using PSYCH-K® to Heal the Fear of Abandonment and Reclaim Your Boundaries

A client recently came to me with a vulnerable, all-too-familiar story. She said:

“I notice I have this fear of losing friendships or love relationships, just like my mom. I never want to burn bridges. But I feel like a doormat. I accept treatment I can’t stand from friends and lovers and never speak up. I’m currently over this one friendship because I’ve been walked on again. They’re going through a hard time, and I know they’ll come back later—but the way they treat me in the moment is just too much. I don’t want to keep standing in this.”

She asked:“How do I tell this friend I don’t like how I’m being treated? How do I still support them? How do I feel great about this friendship—and myself—again?”

This is a perfect opportunity to use PSYCH-K®. Here’s how we approached it.

The Root: Inherited Fear and Subconscious Programming

The first thing we uncovered was a deep subconscious fear:

“If I stand up for myself, I’ll lose the relationship.”

This fear wasn’t born yesterday. It was inherited—woven into her emotional DNA through watching her mother’s pain, heartbreak, and broken connections. Somewhere along the line, her subconscious formed a belief: “If I speak my truth, I will lose love.”

The result? A lifetime of swallowing pain, playing small, and feeling resentful. Classic survival strategy. But not a sustainable one.

What PSYCH-K® Does Differently

PSYCH-K® is not about rehashing stories or rehearsing pain.

It’s a mind-body belief change process that works directly with the subconscious mind—the part of you that’s 95% responsible for your behaviors, reactions, and emotional triggers.

In our session, we first identified the beliefs holding her hostage. Some of them included:

  • “It’s not safe to speak up.”

  • “I’ll be abandoned if I set boundaries.”

  • “Other people’s emotions are more important than mine.”

  • “I have to earn love by being agreeable.”

Then, we used PSYCH-K® to transform those beliefs into something powerful:

  • “It’s safe to honor my truth.”

  • “I can speak with compassion and still be loved.”

  • “Healthy relationships respect my boundaries.”

  • “My voice matters, even when others are struggling.”

The Shift: Empowered Compassion

After the balance process, something shifted in her energy. She said, “I feel like I can finally breathe. It’s not about cutting the friend off—but I no longer feel like I need to be stepped on to be loved.”

That’s when the real magic happens. From this new inner foundation, she was able to:

✅ Speak to her friend clearly, without guilt or fear.

✅ Hold space for the friend’s challenges, without absorbing the toxicity.

✅ Create a boundary that said: “I love you, but I will not allow this treatment anymore.”

Supporting Others While Honoring Yourself

You can love someone deeply and still not accept harmful behavior.

The new subconscious beliefs we installed with PSYCH-K® gave her the inner permission to show up fully:

  • Compassionate but firm

  • Empathetic but grounded

  • Supportive without self-sacrifice

She stopped over-identifying with her mom’s wounds. She reclaimed her own identity. And from there, the friendship could evolve—or dissolve—with integrity.
